The Wave Chieftain is a purpose built dive charter / angling boat powered by a 2010 Volvo D13 / 800 Horse Power engine and licensed / insured to carry twelve people plus two crew up to 60 miles offshore from any port in the UK
The forward wheel house carries all the electronic equipment including an Olex Advanced Multi beam Sonar and side scan system for real time 3D & 2D sea bed profiling with pin point accuracy .
For your safety, equipment including life jackets, life rafts , flares, hand held vhf radios, DSC Vhf , Epirbs, A.I.S tracking and satellite positioning beacons are also fitted along with an AED defibrillator and two oxygen breathing sets.
The Wave Chieftain is always operated with a two man crew for your safety
On boarding the vessel the crew will go through all of the safety equipment with you and familiarise you with its use.
The large deck space has ample seating for divers / equipment, and a hydraulic dive platform is fitted to the stern for easy in and out the water operations'
Hot drinks / gas cooker, microwave and toilet facilities along with sleeping compartments for ten people make her your first choice for long distance hauls to those offshore marks.
Wave Chieftain has a top speed of 28 knots and will happily cruise all day at 18 knots fully laden with a team of 14 people and equipment.
Two generator sets are fitted onboard, both of which produce 240 & 110 volt clean wave power that is suitable for sensitive equipment such as Pcs.
The wheel house has ample storage and seating for all persons onboard and plenty of room to sit down around the table to enjoy your meals.
On the deck there is a large seating area and plenty of room thanks to the 17ft beam making the vessel a very stable platform to work from.
A side entrance door means that you walk straight onboard the vessel from the pontoon, so no clambering over the gunnels .
