His passion for fishing and curiosity of the sea started At the age of eight when he began pestering the local fisherman at Portreath to accommodate him on their boats for the day to learn about potting for lobsters
Following a career of commercial fishing was inevitable gaining his experience over the years working on beam trawlers, scalloping, gill netting, long lining and hand lining
A vast knowledge of wreck fishing and commercial experience has proved him well with some great fish being landed aboard his vessels over the years
In the last eight years at Falmouth he has logged in excess of thirty thousand sea miles and his knowledge of the area is vast, however in his own words he will tell you, there's always something new to learn and the sea is a magical place that is always full of surprises
