The Wave Chieftain is equipped with an Olex 3D Bathymetric data recording system as used by the National Oceanography Centre on the James Cook, Marine Institute vessels Celtic Explorer and Celtic Voyager, CEFAS Endeavour and the Geological Survey of Irelands RV Keary.

 

Olex has a proven record in making multibeam data accessible in a reliable and economical package and experienced user such as our selves have produced detailed

data recordings with excellent visual results.

 

The screen images to the right are a good example of the type of 3D data image that can be produced with Olex.

 

Calculated tidal data depths and pin point accuracy using GPS integration assure you of an accurate and true representation of the Ocean floor.

Olex A.I.S Integration:

 

The Wave Chieftain is fitted with Olex A.I.S

( Automatic  Identification System ) which enables the vessels position and course / history to be viewed over the internet. This has proven to be very useful for customers to keep track of the vessels progress during Survey works as detailed Latitude and Longitude are clearly shown.
